What Our Volunteers are Saying
"My favorite story is about a young mother. It is so meaningful because we
were educating her. She stopped us as we were walking from the clinic to the hospital.
Worried about her 3-month-old baby, said she seemed to be having trouble breathing.
Her breaths were loud and it scared her. We didn’t have a stethoscope with us, so
my friend, a doctor, held the baby up to his ear to listen to her lungs. She was
normal as could be, she was just starting to vocalize and was making cooing noises!
She was absolutely adorable and so alert and cute! I had to take a picture of the
“human stethoscope” and his little patient! ." (Susan, Nurse and MMI volunteer
